Builder's Story

Deer Creek Estates is being developed and constructed by Parrish Construction, Inc. a subsidiary of Homes By Chalen, Inc. which has been in business since 1993.  This will be the first development for Parrish Construction but Homes By Chalen has developed and built in Eastland Phase II in Joliet, Meadowbrook in Elwood, and built in Timber’s Edge in Marseilles, Hickory Trails in Braidwood, and Springhill in Coal City.

Chalen Parrish, the owner of both companies, has been around construction his entire career which is approximately twenty years.  He got acquainted with the construction industry through his parents who were also developers and builders.  For almost the past eight years, his sister has been handling the office and his wife assists him in sales.  Chalen resides locally in Elwood with his wife and four children who attend St. Joseph’s School in Manhattan.  Although a tough demanding job at times, we all enjoy building quality affordable homes the old fashioned way and hope to make your new home purchase relaxing and enjoyable.
